Quick answer: Two head sizes on one handle let you compare which brushing face sits comfortably beside your dog’s teeth. Choose one end at a time and use short, light strokes on reachable outer surfaces. A second head does not establish a fit for every dog. Complete size ranges, component polymers and bristle softness have not been independently confirmed. See American Animal Hospital Association home-care guidance.

Introduce the routine slowly
Let your pet inspect the brush
Offer a clean brush for a brief sniff. Keep the session calm; sniffing may be enough for the first day.
Practice a brief lip lift
Only when safe, gently lift the lip without opening the jaw. Stop before your pet pulls away. Do not put fingers near the teeth if biting or sudden jaw closure is possible.
Brush a few outer tooth surfaces
Use light contact and small movements on a few comfortable, reachable outer surfaces. Never force the jaw open. If using toothpaste, choose a pet-labeled product and follow the label; toothpaste is not included.
Reward, rinse and air-dry
Finish while your pet remains calm, offer a familiar reward, rinse the brush and let the brush dry fully. Add coverage gradually over later sessions.
Inspect, clean and store the brush
Check before every use for loose heads, damaged handles, spreading bristles, torn silicone, rough edges or residue that will not rinse away. Replace a worn or damaged brush immediately. Keep one brush for each pet, allow full air-drying and store away from unsupervised pets. A toothbrush is not a chew toy.
Follow the care instructions supplied with this design; do not assume that boiling or dishwasher cleaning is suitable. Read the pet toothbrush materials and safety guide.
When to stop and call your veterinarian
Stop brushing and contact your veterinarian for pain, facial or gum swelling, loose or broken teeth, persistent bleeding, difficulty eating, or a sudden change in behavior around the mouth. Do not brush through resistance or try to scrape away hardened deposits.
Gentle brushing can disrupt soft plaque on comfortably reachable outer tooth surfaces. Brushing cannot remove hardened tartar, diagnose or treat oral disease, or replace a veterinary examination and professional dental care.
